    Treasure Hunt Although the website is not the easiest to navigate, 1001 Modelkits has some hard to find kits and aftermarket supplies that are not found in most online hobby stores. For this reason, I usually check other websites first.

    Order Shipping/Delivery time too long to the US I placed an order in late November for a Christmas present. I received no updates as to my order status. About a week and a half out from Christmas, I inquired as to the status of the order. I got, ""Thank you for your patience"", but no other information except my order is in process. It was obviously not coming in by Christmas, so I ordered something else from someone else. I sent 3 requests to cancel my order since it was still in ""process"" and hadn't shipped yet. The communications I received were, again, Thank you for your patience with NO acknowledgment of any of my cancellation requests! We are in the states and had I know this was coming from France, I would not have ordered it. And, I will never order from 1001 Hobbies again. The travel/ship time is too long and the order progress communication is non-existent. After ignoring all my requests to cancel and not wanting to refund any monies, my order came in Dec 29. I did receive some communications as to the delivery on Dec 27. Do not order form 1001 Hobbies from the US unless you have a 2-3 month delivery window.

    Order not received I ordered a model kit on the 2nd December intended as a Christmas gift. The order arrived but contained a piece of heatproof glass with nothing else, certainly no model kit and not even a delivery note. I contacted customer service and 3 days later I received a response asking for photos of what I had received. I sent photos and another 4 days before I received a response advising the photos can’t be opened and wishing me a happy Christmas season. I have resent the photos and received no response. I followed up with another email and almost a week later I have had no response. I paid over £50 for the kit and just want a refund now. I would not order again from this company. Mistakes happen but it’s now two weeks ago since I reported the issue and I am not confident my money will be refunded.

    I placed an order on December 19 I placed an order on December 19, 2020. I paid a lot of money for express delivery and upon placing my order received a confirmation email indicating that my order would arrive on December 24, 2020. I am still waiting for my order on January 2, 2021. Order tracking does not work. I get an error message indicating that this service is unavailable. I do not think I will order from them again.

    I'm afraid that you choice of couriers… I'm afraid that you choice of couriers has prevented you from getting 5 stars. My experience of them is that they don't communicate very well and fail to deliver on the scheduled date when they do communicate.

    Not happy I booked a product well before Christmas..7.12.20. It was in stock! I then received an email about to be delivered with tracking not available for 48 hours on 18.12.20which never got beyond expecting..then suddenly after Christmas another email saying was delivered 29th December. Will never use this company again. Very very disappointed. All communications, when I could get them in French.

    I have not seen my purchased item yet. I have not seen my purchased item yet. I can’t blame the 1001 people about that but, I can say that their tracking information wasn’t that helpful. Counting from the day I made the purchase it has been 5 weeks that I have been waiting. I am doubtful that I will ever see my package. 1001 offers many items that I can’t get elsewhere but, I can’t trust that the delivery will be made.

    Still waiting I paid roughly $50 for a model plane and another $45 to have it expedited shipping to arrive between December 21 - December 24th before Christmas. Also included in the $45 shipping was a tracking number. Unfortunately the tracking company was only in French so so couldn’t understand it. It is December 29th and I still haven’t received the model. My uncle also Ordered the same model and he is experiencing the same thing. All it says on your website is December 21st your package arrived in your country. Nothing else. I am so disappointed. This Was the model planes my uncle and father flew in Vietnam and I was so excited to get it for him. I don’t even know if it’s still coming or if I lost my money. I choose your company because of all the good reviews.

    Misrepresentation of Shipping Speed, Poor Experience Estimate delivery date was 12/24/20. Ordered was placed on 12/15/20. A SIGNIFICANT upcharge for more rapid shipping was paid. No communication was given regarding shipping until 12/19/20. Item still has not arrived to destination. Tracking information provided had a dead link, had to independently find a tracking service which then showed by 1/7/21 the item was no where close to its final destination. I receive frequent emails from this website about reviewing my order and I haven't even received the item, which is incredibly obnoxious. This has been a terrible experience and I will never use this website or service for purchases again. Mistake made and lesson learned.

    Not a US company First of all you passed yourselves as a US based company. My items have yet to arrive since it’s actually coming from France. When you first updated the shipping, you said it would arrive day after Xmas.

    At the moment I ordered two times and… At the moment I ordered two times and both came within relative short time after the orders were placed. In the past there were a few minor difficulties but they were rectified. I'm confident enough to know that if I were to place a new order, that the company will send it in a short amount of time. The only thing I find a bit dissapointing about the shop, is their price range for model kits. I mean the prices never stay the same. For example, when I buy a model kit at a price of € 24.99 9without shipping costs, the next week this price is suddenly € 37,99, for the same model kit. So prices never stay exactly as they are. If a model kit is on sale, then it's understandable. But if they have a certain positive inventory, they should keep the prices the same. Weither it's € 37,99 or less.

    six weeks and waiting... Ordered a model for Christmas - It's nearly February and nothing. The Hermes tracking number says 'awaiting dispatch' and the 1001 website says 'on its way'. Have twice tried to cancel the order but nothing so have raised a disputed transaction with my Bank - regretting getting sucked in by their low price and should have realised when the payment went to an overseas company. I would advise extreme caution dealing with this company.

    Dreadful service - avoid this company Ordered a model on 31st December and it only arrived on the 6th February. Only managed to get hold of their customers services to find out what was going on three times - many emails got ignored or unanswered. Model was shipped to the UK from France and the excuse given was distribution problems and brexit but I had ordered another model from a supplier in France on 22nd January and it arrived just 8 days later so I cannot accept this. After waiting six weeks, I even had to demand my money back. I did get my model eventually, but absolutely dreadful, shocking customer service. I will never use them again and strongly suggest that anybody else think very hard before doing so either. A horrendous exercise in misery and pain.

    I was very happy with my purchase over… I was very happy with my purchase over all. Even though the box was flattened in transit the model was still intact. I count luck for that considering the models were resin and quite fragile and would have easily been smashed. The expediency with which it arrived to the USA was excellent. Next time I would advise not sending fragile models in envelopes but in boxes.

    Slow and cumbersome fulfillment The attraction is the huge range of products. They are not discounted and I have never been asked for a Paypal fee before. Two items shown as in stock turned out not to be, this was irritating and delayed processing of my order. You are not told the supplier is in France which will obviously impact delivery time and cost. All in all three weeks to deliver. Only useful if you cannot find the products elsewhere.

    Complete afzetterij Ik kan niet spreken over de gang van zaken van deze webshop want ik zal hier nooit iets kopen. Deze gasten moeten zich eens goed aan hun hoofd voelen. Ik ben zelf een modelbouwer van (houten) schepen en de prijzen die zij zich durven te vragen gaat veel verder dan aan de dure kant. Dit is gewoon complete afzetterij en de schepen die zij verkopen heb je elders al voor de helft. Gewoon schandalig dat dit gewoon mag. Nogmaals, ik weet niet hoe de afhandeling van bestellingen is of dat de prijs van andere producten lager is, maar het loont zich zeker om elders te zoeken.

    This is one of the very few online… This is one of the very few online hobby stores who stock all of the items needed to build a successful model. Shipping is a fair cost to where the product is being sent from, and arrives in a timely manner. One suggestion/recommendation for the site and/or model builder is look at the instructions, prior to ordering your model to make sure you have all the correct paints, glue, transfer softeners, etc. etc. which the instructions typically list. I've had to make several orders for materials, as working into the model I did not realize I needed. An amateur issue, not to be repeated? Probably, but the cost of the shipping certainly makes me pause for the next model purchase to be made to ensure that all the materials needed are purchased.

    SCAM They claim to have never received my payment, even though all the information was correct and my bank confirmed that I sent the payment. They spam mails that I say ""it appears we haven't received your payment"" and when you try to solve the issue they just stall. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

    Helaas na ruim 3 weken nog niks ontvangen Ik heb op 23 januari een bestelling gedaan en betaald. Ongeveer 2 weken geeft de track and trace aan dat het pakket moet worden opgehaald door de bezorgdienst. Dit gebeurt maar niet. Twee keer gemaild en de toezegging gedaan door 1001hobbies dat het snel op de post zou gaan. Helaas nog geen resultaat. Ik hoop dat deze review 1001hobbies tot actie aanzet. ik hoop dat jullie dit bericht serieus nemen. Ik heb gelijk betaald. Nu moeten jullie mijn bestelling snel op de post doen. Mochten jullie willen reageren? Doe dat dan maar in het Frans. Dan kunnen jullie wellicht beter uitleggen waarom het zo lang duurt!

    Pas op!!! Heb via deze site een model gekocht. Bedrag is afgeschreven van mij n creditcard. Daarna ondanks herhaaldelijke pogingen tot contact geen nieuws meer gehad. Geen bevestiging. Geen nieuws over verdere afhandeling. Telefoonnummer op de site werkt niet en geeft in het Frans aan dat je maar moet mailen. Hoop dat het goed komt, maar krijg inmiddels een slecht gevoel bij de afloop van mijn aankoop hier. Zeker nu reacties op vragen uitblijven. Wil deze ervaring als waarschuwing hier delen.

    Delivery time FAR TOO LONG! With a .co.uk website and a UK contact number, assumed it was a UK based company as nothing to give true location obvious on website. MISTAKE. Ordered two in-stock items on 23rd December and received 9th February. Far too late to be of any use and ignored all my polite requests to cancel order and refund. Accept Brexit excuse but expected delivery delays should be made much more obvious at time of order. Covid is not acceptable as every other supplier is managing perfectly well. Will not trouble them with my business again.

    Not truthful about inventory? When I ordered the product it was stated it was in stock, two weeks later I received notification the product was shipped - I have still not received the product. Their are either very disorganized or not truthful about their inventory. My order was two masking sets that would fit into an envelope and their shipping fees where extremely high. I wanted the product so I moved forward. Other vendors had the same product, lower cost and lower shipping but were truthful about delivery time (that would be sooner than this experience). Next time, I will go with the other vendors. Update - Feb 21, 2021 and still have not received the product - ordered Jan 31, 2021 Update: Feb 26, 2021 Received the package. It is an Eduard masking kit. They do say that on their site, but I missed that..my fault. I have ordered from Eduard direct in the past, about the same price but far lower shipping cost and delivery was much faster.

    Sent the wrong plane, feel duped Hi, Although I appreciated you sending me a ""super chipmunk"", and promptly, it was not all the same as the one I was expecting - the box is totally different and the plane is much smaller than shown. I was expecting the MHD or ""Thunder Tiger"" Chipmunk with 51"" WS as you showed, but instead got the small ""World Models"" which only had a 39"" WS. I wouldn't have ordered if I'd know this. I hoped you weren't trying to cheat me....
