  Very good service and communications Service was very good, and status communication was also very good. Package arrived in good shape, within the quoted delivery timeframe. One caveat, if your order is placed or processed by one of the overseas divisions, communications will be in the division's language, not English, so be prepared to translate.

  Great Product... This is a great website to use but be aware that their communication does lack. We only had to contact them once to get our information, but it did make us a little nervous. They did come through with a great product and a good price. Would recommend them and will use them again if we find something we like.

  Nice selection weakness in follow-thru. I ordered six kits and got a confirmation of the order and notification that the order was filled. Then, two weeks passed with no comment whatsoever. I prodded with an email. They looked into it, then told me it was in transit. What I received was one kit short of the order and no explanation was provided.

  Fast and reliable! They have a large assortment, good prices and reasonable shipping costs. Though an order takes some time to process it arrives exceptionally fast (at least within EU) and is very well packed & protected. Should you look for a good model shop to get what you want - look no more!

  A needed service but with notable problems. 1001 modelkits is a needed service for those of us who like obscure and hard to find model kits but their are some serious flaws in their system. Firstly their website was often down or not accessible for periods of time. Secondly, just after making a order with them the email address I used was compromised and I needed to change passwords. Thankfully it was a email address with negligible info for thieves to use. Third, I ordered a specific as advertised scale model (CHI HA tank 1:72) but was given a slightly larger scale model (1:76) instead. Finally, a couple of the models I purchased were either intentionally or unintentionally opened or tampered with. If I'm paying full price for a new product then I would expect it to be untouched. As mentioned I am thankfull that 1001 model kits exits because theirs no one else out their like them that I've found but I'm wary of ordering again from them.

  Handling takes ffffoooorrreeevvveeerrrr I live close to wherever 1001modelkits ships from in Detroit, and because of the short, one-day mail turn-around I can tell how long they take to prep and ship a tiny (three glass bottles) order. Roughly a week, if not a tad more. Way too long to prep an order, unless you're offsetting that with free shipping.

  Great service from across the Atlantic! 1001 model kits really came through for me on some decals I had been searching for. The communication was great, and even though it took a little time to get the decals I was full aware of what was going on.   Good communication but item was sent with some delay and packaging was poor. ( ) My questions were answered very quickly. ( ) The item was as described. (-) The item was sent 9 days after I made the payment (-) Package was not protected well. Both of the diecast cars had their tyre off. Luckily it was not so bad and I could put them back.

  My order for decals A good place for some odd decals but their notification and keeping me informed of my order was no so good. I had to email them twice about my order and to get a shipping tracking number. A better response with the customer needs work on by customer service.

  Unreliable and Unavailable 1001models is a horrible company that does not return e-mails or voice mails for weeks. They listed a model on their site with no mention that it was unavailable, then they e-mailed me it would ship in a few days, when in truth it was actually out of stock. After numerous e-mails and voice mails I finally got a note stating it was out of stock. This company is horrible do not do business with them. Oh and after I canceled this model order not once but twice they still shipped it 2 weeks later.

  just plain excellent service I'm very glad for the opportunity to tell you about these guys. They filled my order and shipped quickly that's great. But lots of hobby outlets will do that. Their difference was that they actually had the items they listed. 1001 had 3 items I had been after for a long time. At least three other sellers ""listed"" those kits only to tell me (after the fact) that they were not only OOP (which I knew) but OOS (which I didn't know until I opened their package). Yes, that's right: from at least 2 of them I was not told they were OOS three of my items, until those things failed to appear on the shipping invoice, in principal: if I can't get what i'm looking for from ""Seller A, B or C"" they should have been courteous enough to say ""we're OOS this item and don't know if it can be restocked. We should have left them out of the catalog."". O.K.! That's a good answer! Now I can try to get those kits from ""Seller D"", or off Ebay....whichever. 1001 had everything they said they had I got everything I ordered. Seems like a small thing, but it's important. There is no doubt that I will be buying from 1001 model kits again, in the near future. Cheers! JCG

  How long does it take? It took 22 days for me to receive the order. I would say the communication about the status of my order was sketchy at best,. Links provided in their emails took me to the French language version of the site, and even their communication to leave feedback was in French. Item was packaged very well. Not sure I would order from them again.

  Encouraged At first I was a liitle aprehensive. Never hard of them. But their website looked good and the prices were excellent. So...I decided to take the plunge. Everything worked out well...initially. Then...there was nothing. No communication...nothing about my order. This went on for a good 2.5 weeks. I was getting worried. No tracking information at their website...etc. So I began to write them and say..hey! Where's my order? They wrote back apologetically and said it's in process. Well...after a few rounds of email...they came through! I received my order and I was happy about the expereince....especially the price. I chalked up the negative part of the experience as their growing pains. Definitely will use again.

  I won't do business with them again! I made an online purchase. I was under the impression it was being shipped from overseas. I was charged excessive shipping fees (more than the item cost). It was shipped from within the states. It arrived broken. I emailed them with my concerns and asked for a reply. Never received a reply!

  Product was correct but shipping was SLOW I ordered a model kit and it took over two weeks for it to leave their warehouse. The transit time was not the issue it was how long it took for them to deliver it to the carrier. No explanation as to why, not too impressed!

  I have been disapointed so far because I received the wrong order and have had no response from customer service to date.. The processing of my order seemed to be OK. I received timely updates regarding when the products would be received for shipping. I also received a notice when the order was being shipped. I received a shipment in 2 to 3 days as was stated. However, I received the incorrect shipment. My order #14439 was not what I received. I received order #14539 which is not mine. I have sent 2 e-mails to customer service (contact@1001.com) and have had no response yet. The Website states that Customer Service is important to them. I have seen no evidence to date. A customer service telephone number for English speaking customers would be helpful. I am awaiting a response regarding what to do with the incorrect shipment I received and what is the status of my order for which payment was accepted.

  Slow, misleading e-mails- Took way too long to get order- was a cc order on-line, so saw no reason to wait the two weeks. Got many e-mails from the the whole time, misleading me into thinking ""it'll be here the next day or so""- actually a week or so more. I'll remember this in the future.

The order was placed on Jan. 13,2013 and it arrived on Jan. 29,2013-over 2 weeks for delivery is unacceptable. More importantly, the planes arrived at my home and now I have to pay shipping to send them to him. Very disappointing!

  Poor, Slow Service, Incomplete Order Many item not in-stock despite web order saying they were in stock ready to ship. For items not in stock, I was issued a ""credit memo"" to be used on next order without my permission. I can't imagine ever ordering again so I am now fighting for a refund. This was the poorest experience I have had ordering on the internet in 15 years.

  very slow shipping, slow customer service response time i thought the selection and pricing was pretty comparable, if not slightly lower than a few other places for the parts i was looking at. they also had the specific combination of parts, which i would have had to order from multiple places to get. but there was almost a full 3 weeks between ordering and delivery. while i was notified that the item was being prepared to ship, then another when it was just about to ship, then another when it did ship, i did not receive a single email answering my questions regarding the order. i might consider ordering again just for a second chance, but if shipping is the same speed, i'll go elsewhere for what i need...

  Ordered a model, got the model fast with no problems Great choices in models. Would like to see more of an after market selection for parts such as resin kits an photo etch kits. I would love to find one site with everything I needed for the model. The more choices with the models the better! Putties, fillers, tools, glues, decal sets, walk around reference books an everything else. Either way its a good site and I was very satisfied with the service. An maybe they have these selections I jus didn't look hard enough!

  The only place I could find what I needed. After seven months of building the model, I could not find the proper decals to make the model accurate and really pop. After 2 weeks of trying to find the proper decals. i found them here. It looks great.

  1001 had what I needed at a reasonable price! I needed some Aber treadplate and 1001 Models had it in stock. The real irony is the North American importer for Aber lives a mile away but was out of stock at the moment. The delivery speed was resonable with no undue Customs hiccups coming across the Canadian border (and minimal snow delay as well).   Good Company I ordered a Lamborghini Reventón. Took About 2 in a half weeks to arrive. Maybe Three. They do say that it takes 2 to 3 weeks for the order to arrive when you buy the Model Car. Also in the Email it says 7 to 9 days to arrive to their warehouse. I assume that is a general estimate. I got a little worried, so I wrote an email to Customer Service they got back to me a week later. Email Response was A . This Company does what they Say. I will buy more Model cars from these guys.   A reliable on-line business that stocks items unobtainable anywhere else. This was my first purchase from 1001 Modelkits, and it was an entirely positive experience. I was searching for an out of production aircraft model, and this company was one of two places world-wide that indicated it was available. I ordered the item from both places. 1001 Modelkits kept in regular communication with me, indicating when the item would be shipped and when it was shipped. It arrived in perfect shape within a reasonable period of time. The other seller has not communicated with me, and I still have not received the item. Based on this experience, I hope I have the occasion to do business with 1001 Modelkits in the future.

  8 weeks from purchase to delivery My credit card was charged 29Dec12, and my order arrived 10Feb13. 1001modelkits claimed a delay in their supply chain, but all I ordered was 15 1oz Tamiya paint jars. I will never order from them again.
